Would this idea be too out there?

I was just thinking, but what if there was a book where the main character lives a normal life on earth and stuff until it slips that the government was keeping a huge secret from the people, and it turns out that every particle on this earth is another world, like another solar system. So it's a world inside a world inside a world and so on. And the particle they're on is about to be exterminated so she has to find a way out to survive. Eventually the story plot would probably get too twisted and mangled up because it could get really confusing, if you know what I mean. It was just an idea I was thinking about, but I think it would be hard to write a book on. What do you think?
