Does a chapter 10 (in lieu of trial) assess a jail sentence?? and how does it work?

i was awol for 26 months and since i have returned i have been an outstanding soldier and have mothly counselings to back me up as well as my nco's. i turned myself in and now all i want to know is if i request a chapter 10 if i will get jail time?
