EAS'ing Marine Trying to pick up Corporal?
If what you say is fact, the personnel office will submit your info for a back date of March. If your chain of command is not taking care of this for you, you can request to go to the next level. You have been in the Marines for almost 4yrs now, and if you have not made Corporal, it is nobody fault but yours. I do know how hard it is for enlisted to get promoted in the Marines. I knew many of my troops that got out as Lance Corporals. If you have made the cutoff score, then you will be pinned according to what the Headquarters date your rank. If it is in error, just submit paperwork for it to be corrected. If the higher office thinks there was an error, then you will be back dated. You should do all of your MCIs and not just the ones needed for promotion. These courses can be transferred to College credits and help you get your degree faster. Good luck to you. Hopefully you have a plan for your future outside of the Marines. Let me tell you there are not many jobs out there. I am retired at 40. My advice is to make sure you want to really get out. The War will not go on Forever.
