Does a chapter 10 (in lieu of trial) assess a jail sentence? and how does it work?

i was awol for 26 months and returned on my own and since i have been back with my unit i have been on time if not early to every formation and details plus i have taken extra initiative to do things for the unit that i have not been asked to do. all of my monthly counselings are outstanding and my nco's have a good standing with me. i just want to know if i chose to request a chapter 10, will they assess me jail time?
