I can't decide if i should enlist or try to become an officer?

first off im in high school i get A's and B's so im fairly good in school so im relatively sure i could get into college. i want to go into the marine corps as infantry so if i enlisted i would go infantry and as an officer i would go infantry. now that's out of the way, i cant decide if i should enlist after high school or go on to college and go through nrotc? my parents have told me it's not an option and i must go to college and i can't enlist. i want to be in a leadership role and out in the field not behind a desk, but it would take awhile as enlisted to be in a leadership role wouldn't it? im in jnrotc and im actually a petty officer and im fairly decent at leading and people seem to enjoy me and like me being in charge so im told( i know being in combat is completely different im just saying im peoples person). i just don't know what to do at this point please help and give me suggestions because it seems like all the nco's love their job and hate on the officers and vise versa, so which is really better?
