Retention NCO offering 24 month Stability and 24 month reduction in MSO. I'm Skeptical.?

So im getting out after doing four years active duty, I have the option of 4 years in the IRR or in the NG/Reserves. The Retention NCO is offering 24 month Stability and 24 month reduction in MSO if I join either the ng/reserve. The problem is he hasn't really backed these programs up with any real documentation, and after doing some internet searching its looks like the MSO program was from 2006-2009 as an experiment and Ive found nothing in documentation about guaranteeing two years stability. Has anyone got out recently taken these options? If so is there a catch-22 in the contract somewhere? Or should i just risk it in the IRR?
